Fontaines DC win RTÉ Choice Music Prize album of the year

Fontaines DC have won Irish Album of the Year for 'Romance' at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Awards.

Kneecap won Irish Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Jordan Adetunji won Irish Artist of the Year.

Kabin Crew & Lisdoonvarna Crew won Song of the Year for 'The Spark'.

The awards were held at Vicar Street in Dublin on Thursday night.

Fontaines DC received a cheque for €10,000, provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), as well as a specially commissioned award.

The event was hosted by RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford and was broadcast live on 2FM with Beta Da Silva, included exclusive performances from eight of the nominated artists.
