Lough Lannagh Village open garden afternoon to support Daisy Lodge Mayo
ON Sunday, July 20, Lough Lannagh Village in Castlebar will open its grounds to the public for a self-guided tour through its peaceful, lakeside gardens and community polytunnel - all in support of Daisy Lodge Mayo, a respite centre for families affected by childhood cancer.
Taking place from 1 to 3.30 p.m., visitors are invited to enjoy an afternoon stroll, visit the community polytunnel, and learn how the gardens have been developed with a strong commitment to sustainability - embracing reduce, reuse, recycle, and upcycle practices throughout.
Tea, coffee and homemade scones will be served, and all donations on the day will go directly to Daisy Lodge Mayo.
“This garden has grown from our love of nature and community,” said Paul and Gerardine Lennon, managers of Lough Lannagh Village. “We believe in creating beauty with purpose, and we’re proud to support Daisy Lodge, an organisation that brings comfort and care to families when they need it most.”
“Lough Lannagh Village has become a place of peace and belonging for many newcomers to Mayo,” added Helen O’Neill of South West Mayo Development Company. “This open garden event is not only a chance to experience nature, but also to connect and give back - values that reflect what this place stands for.”
The event is open to all, with no ticket required. Everyone is encouraged to come along, relax, and support a truly meaningful cause.
