New parkrun successfully launched in Mayo
A new parkrun - the Tourmakeady Wood parkrun - has been successfully launched in Mayo.
It took place last weekend in partnership with parkrun Ireland and VHI.
Taking place every Saturday over 5 k.m. at Tourkmakeady Wood, it is open to all ages and abilities, providing a fun and safe environment to enjoy exercise.
Starting at 9.30 a.m. members of the public are invited to walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!
Register here before you first come along. Don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a time.
It is entirely organised by volunteers - email tourmakeadywood@parkrun.com to help.
Every week participants grab a post parkrun coffee at Caife Glas (F12C6F2).
Last weekend's volunteers were Aisling O'Neill, Andrew Gibbons, Arlene O'Mahony, Catherine Heneghan, Cristín UÍ Ghiobúin, Declan Grady, Erica Gibbons, Fiona Casey, Jennifer Lydon, Kathleen Flavin, Mary Murphy, Michael Heraty, Pádraig Ó Héanachán, Rita Conroy, Seán Óg Molloy, Sinead Lally, Siobhan Heaphy and Yvonne Peters Hill.
