Mayo native dies following road accident in London

A woman in her seventies who tragically lost her life after being struck by a bus in London has been named as Kathleen Kilcoyne.

Mrs Kilcoyne, aged 73, originally from Ashleam, Achill, had been living in London for many years.

She died on Sunday evening last after being hit on Neasden Lane, close to the Dudden Hill Lane junction, shortly before 6 p.m.

Police in London have confirmed that a full investigation is under way into the circumstances of the incident.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
