Warm Mayo tributes to much-loved Angela McHale on her passing

The death of Angela McHale, McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Oughtoose, Straide, is deeply regretted in the community.

A member of a widely-respected and popular family, she was a dedicated employee of Baxter (Vantive) for many years

Many warm tributes are being paid to her on social media.

One stated: "I will always remember her magnetic smile, her courage, determination and zest for life."

Another said: "She was a truly wonderful person, inside and out, with a heart of gold.

A further tribute observed: "Angela was a great neighbour and a great friend. She had a lovely way about her."

She is deeply regretted by her heartbroken family: Joe (Ballyheane), Geraldine (Straide), Vincent (Parke), Eileen (Lahardane), Esther (Ballyvary), Dympna (Lahardane), Michael (Straide) and Kevin (Straide), her brothers-in-law Declan, Kevin and Esther’s partner Sean, sisters-in-law Catherine, Marion, Katharina and Grainne, nieces, nephews , grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

She was predeceased by her parents Paddy and Nora, brother Jackie, sister Ita, niece Ashling and her brother-in-law Johnny.

Angela will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Knockthomas, Castlebar, today (Wednesday) from 4.30 to 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place on Thursday at 12 noon in St. Peter and Paul Church, Straide, with burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery.
