Approval granted for new Mayo residential care facility

Mayo County Council has granted planning permission for a new residential care facility at Garryduff, Castlebar.

The project, by Communicare Healthcare Limited, involves the demolition of an existing dwelling, garage and workshop at the location and constructing a residential care facility with seven bedrooms, living areas and communal rooms.

The applicants provide life-enhancing care services throughout Ireland via three separate but complementary divisions: disability care, homecare (Over 65s), and paediatric care.

The facility has been designed by Masterson Design Ltd, Chartered Consulting Engineers, Linenhall Street, Castlebar.
