Status yellow rain warning for Mayo

A status yellow rain warning for Mayo will come into effect this evening (Saturday) for the rest of the weekend.

The warning is in effect from 6 p.m. today until 12 a.m. Sunday.

There will be spells of heavy rain and the flood risk is increased due to high river levels and saturated ground.

Met Éireann say the likely impacts are river and surface flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
