Filter light needed to help traffic flow at Mayo county town junction

A filter light is needed at the Newtown junction in Castlebar to facilitate traffic turning right onto Chapel Street.

It is hard for cars coming from Market Square to get through the junction, which is controlled by traffic lights.

Councillor Blackie Gavin has raised the matter before and he again flagged it at a recent municipal district meeting.
