Mayo senior masters league fixtures postponed
Following last night’s meeting of the Mayo Football League Management Committee it was decided to postpone the first round of the senior masters league, which was scheduled to commence tonight (Wednesday). This decision was taken due to the re-scheduling of the licensing inspection due to the inclement weather.
The rescheduled round one fixtures will now take place at the end of the league campaign, whilst round two fixtures will be played next Wednesday, January 14.
The inaugural Mayo Football League senior masters league (over-42’s) competition sees 11 teams vying for honours and they are: Ballinrobe Town, Manulla, Ballina Town, Castlebar Town, Ballyvary Blue Bombers, Claremorris, Fahy Rovers, Conn Rangers, Snugboro United, Ballyheane, and Westport United. This is an 8-a-side competition with each club having 12 players in their squad. All matches will take place at Umbro Park Milebush.
Once the league campaign has concluded a cup competition will commence.
