Drivers going wrong way on Mayo town centre street

AN issue with some motorists going in the wrong direction up one-way Tucker Street in Castlebar has been highlighted by Councillor Donna Sheridan.

She was in the family centre when a car flew up the street heading towards Gallows Hill one lunchtime last week. And she was told this is a regular enough occurrence.

Councillor Sheridan, speaking at a municipal district meeting, asked that signage be looked at.

It's a similar situation at Rush Street with cars going the wrong way there too, she added.
