Leinster and South Africa second row RG Snyman is out for the rest of the season after he reuptured his ACL in Leinster's recent United Rugby Championship defeat to Glasgow.

It means Snyman will miss Leinster's last-16 clash in the Champions Cup against Edinburgh, as well as their URC run-in.

The two-time World Cup winner will also miss South Africa's Nations Championship games in July, and is a doubt for the November games.

Ahead of Leinster's clash against Edinburgh in the Aviva Stadium on Easter Sunday, James Ryan is due to be further assessed and a decision will be made later in the week.

Calls are also set to be made if Garry Ringrose, Jimmy O'Brien, and Tadhg Furlong will play.

Jack Boyle, Hugh Cooney, Jordan Larmour, James Lowe, Diarmuid Mangan, and Paddy McCarthy are all still unavailable for Leo Cullen's side.

For Ulster, , Robert Baloucoune underwent “successful” elbow surgery last week and will be sidelined for an unspecified number of weeks.

Baloucoune last played in Ireland's triple crown win over Scotland in the Six Nations, and could return before the end of the season for Ulster.

He should also be fit for Ireland’s opening trio of matches in the inaugural Nations Championship against Australia on July 4th in Sydney Football Stadium, Japan on July 11th (a venue to be confirmed) and New Zealand at their Eden Park fortress in Auckland on July 18th.
