Mayo town hit by flooding due to high tide during Storm Dave

Flooding has taken place at the Quay in Newport as a result of a high tide during Storm Dave.

An alert went out to car owners to remove their vehicles as swiftly as possible.

The high tide reached its peak around 8.15 last night and local Facebook page, Baile Uí Fhiacháin, captured a number of images showing the extent of the flooding.
