Good news for Mayo gardeners as settled spell set to continue

Mayo gardeners who struggled to start work on their plots due to the prolonged wet weather spell can now look forward to another few days of settled weather conditions.

Tomorrow will be a dry day with hazy sunshine and moderate to fresh southeasterly wind.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees, best values in the west.

Conditions will remain mostly settled for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as high pressure remains dominant.

However, some showers may occur in places.

It will get warmer on Friday and temperatures will reach highs of 14 to 19 or 20 degrees in afternoon sunshine.

It will stay mostly dry over the weekend with light south or southeasterly winds and good spells of sunshine, as well as above average temperatures for late April.

Current indications suggest Monday will bring sunny spells and continuing dry, apart from a few showers in parts of the west and north.
