New Mayo artisan bakery gets planning approval

FOXFORD is set to get a new artisan bakery.

Planning permission has been granted for a change of use of a premises from a bookshop to a new bakery at Davitt Street in the town.

The development also involves a residential element, with the sub-division of an existing dwelling into two residential units - one semi-detached house and a one-bedroom apartment.

The change of use of the existing ground floor bookshop to a bakery will include a retail element of 14sqm and a kitchen area of 25sqm.

The site in question is located at the junction of Davitt Street and Morrogh Bernard Road.

A number of conditions have been applied to the planning permission granted to applicant Michael Tolan by Mayo County Council.
