New Mayo dog park opening soon

CASTLEBAR'S new dog park will open to its first canine visitors in two weeks' time.

Works on the site near Lough Lannagh are substantially complete, local councillors were told at their monthly municipal district meeting this week.

Councillor Donna Sheridan, a long-time advocate for the facility, visited the park in recent days and said it is looking fantastic.

The park is a welcome addition to the lake's amenities.
