Mayo woman appointed head of corporate affairs with Three Ireland
THREE Ireland has announced the appointment of Mayo woman Sinéad O’Donnell as head of corporate affairs, as the company continues to invest in its technology, innovation and corporate leadership capabilities.
Sinead, from Ballyvary, Castlebar, will lead the company’s corporate communications, public affairs, business PR, press office and corporate social responsibility strategy.
She will play a key role in shaping and enhancing Three’s corporate reputation, while supporting the executive leadership team on strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
Sinéad brings over 20 years’ experience spanning journalism, agency and corporate communications. Prior to joining Three Ireland, she was associate director in the corporate and public affairs practice at Wilson Hartnell (Ogilvy), where she led integrated communications strategies for a range of leading national and global organisations across highly regulated sectors.
She began her career as a journalist with organisations including Newstalk and Virgin Media Television, an experience that gave her strong news judgement, a deep understanding of the media landscape and an ability to anticipate how stories develop from a newsroom perspective. She later built on this media experience in senior agency and corporate communications roles, where she developed deep expertise in reputation management, issues and crisis communications, and leading high-performing press office functions.
Speaking about her new role, Ms. O’Donnell said: “I am delighted to join Three Ireland at such an important point in its evolution. Three plays a vital role in Ireland’s connectivity and innovation landscape, and I look forward to working with colleagues and stakeholders to further strengthen trust, reputation and engagement across the business.”
Her appointment is one of two senior leadership positions announced by the company, with Jon Davies named chief technology and innovation officer.
The appointments reflect Three Ireland’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership across technology, innovation and corporate affairs as the company advances its long-term growth ambitions in the Irish market.
