Rain and showers to mark Mayo weekend

Rain will move eastwards through Saturday morning and early afternoon before giving way to sunny spells and scattered showers.

It will become mainly dry by evening.

Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds, turning westerly as the rain clears.

Saturday night will bring clear spells and well-scattered showers at first, with cloud building overnight and outbreaks of rain or drizzle developing in the west and northwest.

Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.

Sunday will be cloudy and breezy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, turning heavy and persistent at times - particularly during the late afternoon and evening.

Thunderstorms are possible.

Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with a moderate to fresh southwesterly breeze.
