Ryder Cup Golf Captain attends Mayo race meeting

Special guests, J. P. McManus, golfer Jim Furyk and his wife Tabitha, are among the large attendance at the Ballinrobe races this evening. Pennsylvania native Jim Furyk is the captain of the US team for next year’s Ryder Cup in Adare. Jim’s glittering career has included winning the US Open Championship in 2003 and he was ranked second in the Official World Golf ranking in 2006.

Yesterday Jim and his wife Tabitha attended the Limerick v Tipperary Munster Senior Hurling Championship match at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, Limerick.
