Mayo set for warm and humid weather with thundery showers on Friday
Some showers will turn heavy and thundery, merging into longer spells of rain at times. Localised flooding is possible where the heaviest falls occur.
Highest temperatures will reach 20 to 28 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate from the north or variable, turning southerly in the evening.
Tonight
Most showers will clear on Friday evening and night, leaving clear spells for many for a time.
Cloud will build near the south coast later, bringing patchy rain and drizzle that will spread north overnight. It will stay mild and muggy, with lowest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees. Winds will be moderate and southerly, fresher near western coasts.
Week ahead
Conditions will turn less warm and humid over the weekend as Atlantic influence increases, bringing more changeable weather and lower temperatures.
