I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Angryginge has said he received abuse online for “standing up to racism”.

He attempted to get a man he accused of making racist remarks kicked out of England’s 0-0 draw with Ghana at the World Cup at Boston Stadium on Tuesday.

Posts on his Instagram story showed a number of abusive and threatening comments he claimed to have received, with a caption which read: “Standing up to racism gets you this? What a world we live in.”

In a YouTube video he posted on Thursday of himself at the match, the social media star, whose name is Morgan Burtwistle said: “The man sat in front was making incredibly racist comments towards the Ghanaian national team.

“Due to this, it was only right for me to stand up and deal with this.

“Watch how the stewards deal with this it is actually embarrassing.”

He said a steward had told him they “can’t kick him out”, before showing him appearing to leave, but later saying that he had not been removed from the game.

Burtwistle, 24, added: “Absolutely not good enough from the American stewards, the message before the games at football is kick it out, if you see it, say it.

“I’ve gone and reported it, the guy, he’s not been kicked out of the stadium, we saw him as we left, he’s been able to watch the whole game after some of the things he was saying about the Ghana team I’m not even going to repeat.

“I think it’s an absolute f****** disgrace he’s been allowed to stay in and watch the game after having evidence on the vlog.

“I’ve been over and reported it, and five witnesses, literally all of us have heard him say it, and he’s still been able to watch the game.”

He added that a steward had told him that the man would have been kicked out had he made another racist comment, which Birtwistle described as “ridiculous”.

Fifa has been contacted for comment.
