Castlebar Mitchels hosting homecoming for its All-Ireland winners

CASTLEBAR Mitchels are holding an official club homecoming for its five All-Ireland-winning players and the Sam Maguire Cup this weekend.

The celebrations will take place on Sunday, August 9, from 2.30 p.m. at Josie Munnelly Park, following the club's intermediate team's first-round championship game.

All members and supporters are encouraged to come along and cheer on the intermediate team as they take on The Neale at 12.30 p.m., before joining in celebrating the All-Ireland champions and welcoming home the five Mitchels players and the Sam Maguire Cup.

More details will be announced throughout the week, but this promises to be a memorable day for the club as it honours the achievements of its All-Ireland-winning players.

Before then, supporters are encouraging to get behind the senior team who are in action in their first-round championship fixture on Friday evening, when Castlebar Mitchels take on Balla at 7 p.m. at Balla GAA Club.
