Death of popular Castlebar woman deeply mourned

THE death has occurred suddenly at her home of Anne Theresa Ludden, née Healy, Drumshinnagh, Rehins, Castlebar.

Anne, who was a lovely lady, was a well-known and respected figure in the local community and her passing is deeply mourned.

She worked in Baxter, Castlebar, for many years and was an active member of SIPTU and also a shop steward. She was popular with her work colleagues and served their interests well as a union representative.

Anne was predeceased by her husband Tony, parents Annie (née Cawley) and Thomas Healy and her brother Tom Healy (Rinashinnagh).

She will be sadly missed by her family: sons Patrick, Anthony, Stephen, Finbar, Liam and John and daughter Julie, sisters Peggy (New York), Margarie (New York) and Alice (Castlebar), brothers Michael John (Manchester), daughters-in-law Alison, Michelle, Jolly, Caroline and Miranda, grandchildren Daisey, Mark, Owen, Finian, Aimee, Kayla, Conor, Ruby and Séamus, sisters-in-law Bernie and Jean, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is extended on their loss.

Anne will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, on Sunday, August 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The funeral will depart on Monday at 9.30 a.m. from her son Stephen’s residence in Drumshinnagh to Shannon Crematorium for service at 12 noon.
