Paddy Moran's, one of Castlebar's best-known pubs, has been put up for sale after more than 70 years serving the town.

The licensed premises on Rush Street has traded since 1953 and has long been under the stewardship of the Moran family.

The pub is being sold due to the owner's retirement, with agents Moran Auctioneers noting it has traded successfully for decades.

The property is being marketed at Price on Application by auctioneer Joe Moran.

It extends to 188 square metres and comprises a fully-fitted bar at ground floor level, with two self-contained apartments overhead - a two-bedroom unit and a one-bedroom duplex.

The bar itself measures roughly 12.7 metres by 5.1 metres, with an additional bar area, toilets, storage and a keg room.

The property is being offered with vacant possession, giving a buyer flexibility whether they intend to run the pub themselves, let it out, or redevelop the residential element.
