Mayo set for another largely dry day on Friday

Mayo will stay largely dry on Friday with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with just isolated showers expected.

Highest temperatures will reach 17 to 21 degrees, with light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Coastal areas in the west will see fresher conditions at times.

Friday night will remain mostly dry with clear spells at first, with just a few showers developing mainly in the northwest.

Cloud will build from the southwest through the night, bringing outbreaks of rain later.

Lowest temperatures overnight will fall to 9 to 13 degrees in mostly light southerly breezes.

Looking further ahead, Saturday will turn cloudy and humid with outbreaks of rain, heaviest and most persistent across the northwest.

Highest temperatures will reach 17 to 22 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds.

Sunday will start cloudy with rain before clearing eastwards, giving way to sunny spells and showers.

Temperatures will range from 16 degrees in the northwest up to 23 degrees in the southeast.
