Silverware for Snugboro on their return to the Mayo Women's League
Snugboro United made a winning return to the Eco-Powered Cabinets Mayo Women's Football League when sealing the Division Two title on Friday evening.
With Manulla already confirmed as Premier Division winners and Kiltimagh Knock United having won Division One, it came down to the final game of the season to decide the third piece of silverware.
A win away to Ballyvary Blue Bombers and the title was 'Boro's. Slip up and leave the door open for Crossmolina to take the honours.
A 1-2 win saw Snugboro over the line, with two first-half goals, while Glenhest Rovers inflicted defeat on Crossmolina - a single goal in that game.
The only other game played in Friday's women's league schedule involved Manulla and Conn Rangers where the Premier Division champions enjoyed a 4-0 win.
Killala finished runners-up in Division One behind KK, who were undefeated in the league all season, while Crossmolina took the silver medals in Division One. Second spot in the Premier Division is still to be decided with a rescheduled tie between last year's champions, Castlebar Town, and Straide & Foxford on August 26.
The women's domestic season will wrap up at the end of the month with the Mayo Cup and Shield finals on August 30.
