SHANE FINNERTY'S 0-13 fired Lahardane MacHales to a hard-fought Intermediate Championship win over Louisburgh in Bofeenaun this afternoon.

The Massbrook man landed two late two-pointed frees to see off a Louisburgh side who led for long spells.

Louisburgh went in 0-9 to 0-8 ahead at the break and were still in front with ten minutes left after Ray Prendergast's goal put them 1-12 to 0-14 up.

But Finnerty had the final word, levelling and then edging Lahardane in front with two-pointers either side of a Ronan Walsh goal effort that was saved by Matthew Kilcoyne.

Adrian Leonard (0-2), Eoin Fergus (0-2, two-pointer) and Kyran Jordan (0-1) were Lahardane's other scorers.

Dylan Prendergast was the top-scorer for Louisburgh with 0-6, with Tommy Morahan (0-2), Oisin Lally, Pearce O'Malley and Martin Ball (0-1 each) also on target.

Lahardane now face Moy Davitts in their final group game, while Louisburgh will play Davitts in round 3.
