Flights diverted at Mayo airport due to poor weather conditions

A number of inbound flights had to be diverted from Ireland West Airport Knock today because of bad weather conditions.

In total, five flights - those from Birmingham, Alicante, Faro, London Stansted, Manchester and Liverpool - had to be diverted to either Cork, Shannon and Dublin airports due to low cloud-based fog which prevented landing.

The first flight to be affected was Ryanair FR3691 (Birmingham-to-Knock) which was diverted to Cork.

However, the flight schedules have since returned to normal.
