Sadness in Mayo county town over death of Pauline Davis

The death of Pauline Davis, Thomas Street, Castlebar, has evoked a great sense of loss and sadness in the community.

Predeceased by her parents John and Madge and nephews Niall and Charlie, she is deeply regretted by her brother Larry, nephews Keith and Ian, niece Miriam, sister-in-law Miriam, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is extended.

A social media tribute have described Pauline as "a lovely lady who did a lot to support animals in need of care and rehabilitation."

Her neighbours at Thomas Street praised her for her kindness and generosity over the years.

Pauline had a great love of music from the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

"She will be sadly missed by the town she loved so much," a further tribute observed.

Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home this evening (Monday) from 5:30 with removal to the Church of The Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
