Survey remains open on reimagining former Mayo Scouts Den site

MAYO County Council is looking for feedback from members of the public on the former Scouts Den site in Ballyhaunis.

The Scouts Den has been vacant for a number of years and has fallen into dereliction.

The community has been asked to share their thoughts on how the site could be reimagined.

An online survey remains open until Monday, September 14, and is available here.

The Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District, in conjunction with Ballyhaunis Abbey Trust, are undertaking a feasibility study to assess the redevelopment potential of the Scouts Den site.

The study seeks to address the site's complexities and work with the community on developing potential options for the future.

Investigations on archaeology, environment and biodiversity will be conducted as part of the process.
