Rain and drizzle set to spread across Mayo on Tuesday

RAIN and drizzle will spread across Mayo on Tuesday as a change in the weather arrives from the west.

Met Éireann is forecasting a mostly cloudy day, with rain and drizzle developing in western parts of the county during the morning before gradually spreading eastwards through the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will reach between 14 and 18 degrees, with light southerly winds.

The rain is expected to continue into Tuesday night, gradually spreading further southeastwards.

Temperatures will fall to between 11 and 14 degrees overnight, with light to moderate south to southwest winds.

Met Éireann's latest Connaught forecast describes the outlook as a cooler pattern developing, with a mixture of dry weather and periods of rain or showers over the coming days.
