Cool and showery conditions forecast for Mayo tomorrow

Mayo is set for a cool and unsettled day tomorrow (Tuesday), with rain and drizzle clearing to give way to some brighter spells and isolated showers.

Met Éireann is forecasting a mostly cloudy start to the day, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle across the county.

The rain will clear southwards during the morning, with sunny spells and a few isolated showers developing through the afternoon.

Temperatures will remain on the cool side for early October, with highs of just 11 to 13 degrees.

Light to moderate northerly winds will accompany the cooler conditions.

Looking ahead, Tuesday night will turn colder, with clear spells developing but a few showers possible in western areas.

Temperatures could fall as low as 3 to 7 degrees overnight.
