Phone and broadband service in parts of Mayo 'disgraceful'

MOBILE phone and broadband coverage in parts of Mayo has been branded 'disgraceful' by an elected representative.

Councillor Damien Ryan has asked that the issue be raised with ComReg to deal with the providers.

It's prevalent right around the county at particular times and people shouldn't have to tolerate it for what they’re being charged, he told a meeting of Mayo County Council.

If you are charging for a service you either provide it or get out of business, he suggested.
