Mayo braced for yet another weather warning
Mayo is facing another blustery day tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, with Met Éireann issuing a fresh Status Yellow wind warning for the county.
The warning, which also covers Donegal, will come into effect at midnight tonight and remain in place until midday on Tuesday.
Met Éireann is forecasting very strong and gusty southwesterly winds, with potential impacts including difficult driving and cycling conditions, displaced loose objects, large coastal waves and some fallen trees and branches.
Tuesday will bring a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers across Mayo, with some showers turning heavy and a possibility of isolated thunderstorms.
It will feel noticeably cooler than recent days, with afternoon temperatures reaching between 8 and 12 degrees.
Fresh to strong southwesterly winds will gradually veer westerly throughout the day before easing towards evening.
Further unsettled conditions are expected on Tuesday night, with cloud increasing from the west and scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing.
Temperatures will fall to between 6 and 10 degrees.
