Mayo set for brighter and milder weather as winds ease on Wednesday

Mayo is set to enjoy a welcome improvement in weather conditions tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28, with a largely dry afternoon forecast following a wet and blustery start to the week.

According to the latest Met Éireann forecast, Wednesday morning will begin mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain in northern areas and scattered showers elsewhere.

However, conditions are expected to improve from late morning onwards, with largely dry weather, isolated showers and some sunny spells developing.

Temperatures will reach between 13 and 15 degrees nationally, with Mayo expected to see highs of approximately 14 degrees.

Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds during the morning will gradually ease, becoming light to moderate and turning southerly later in the day.

Wednesday night will remain largely dry and partly cloudy, apart from isolated light showers.

Overnight temperatures will range between 9 and 12 degrees.
