Applications soon for Mayo affordable housing scheme

AN online portal for applications for an affordable housing scheme in Castlebar is due to open before the end of the year.

Thirty-five homes are being developed at Heather View, Snugborough.

Two information sessions were held recently at council headquarters and First Choice Credit Union, as well as online. A showhouse is available and brochures will be available in the next two weeks.

The portal will open in Q4, with a date yet to be agreed, a meeting of Mayo County Council's housing committee was told.

Separately, four serviced sites for residential development in Mayo Abbey are also due to be advertised in Q4.
