House building on the rise in Mayo as Castlebar leads the way
MAYO's share of new housing is growing, with Castlebar leading the way, according to the latest CSO figures.
The CSO figures show a 33 per cent rise in dwelling completions in the West.
The country is on course to hit its target of 40,000 new homes for the first time since the crash.

Nationally, only 15 per cent of completions were one-offs.
Apartments made up 34 per cent.
