Mayo set for chilly but bright Tuesday as sunshine returns

MAYO is set for another largely dry day on Tuesday, November 3, with sunny spells expected following a cold start to the morning.

Met Éireann is forecasting a mixture of mist, fog and frost initially, particularly across western and northern parts of the country.

These conditions will gradually clear through the morning, although fog could linger in some areas into the afternoon.

Once the mist and fog clear, Mayo can expect good spells of sunshine, with temperatures reaching highs of around 10 to 12 degrees.

Winds will be mostly light and variable initially before becoming light to moderate northeasterly to easterly throughout the day.

Overnight temperatures are expected to fall to between 1 and 4 degrees in parts of the county, with a risk of frost developing in sheltered areas.

The outlook for Tuesday remains largely dry, with little prospect of significant rainfall.
